Thompson Greenspon, founded in 1956 by Gerald 'Gerry' Thompson and Irving 'Irv' Greenspon, has grown into one of the largest CPA firms headquartered in Virginia and a top 40 firm in the Metro DC area. The firm began in a modest setting in downtown Fairfax with just three employees and evolved through organic growth and strong client relationships. The firm's roots in construction and government contracting stem from Irv's background auditing government contracts during his Army service and the construction boom in Fairfax during the firm's early years.
