Hicks & Associates CPAs was formed on October 1, 2011, by David W. Hicks, a CPA with over 30 years of professional experience. David's career includes serving as a partner at a Kentucky firm for 13 years managing 110-125 attest engagements annually, and prior work as a senior auditor with a regional firm representing the U.S. Office of Inspector General on audits and investigations for multiple federal agencies including the EPA, HHS, Department of Labor, and HUD. The firm provides services in auditing and attest services, including audits, reviews, compilations, litigation support, forensic accounting, business consulting, and evaluation of internal controls; tax services for individuals, partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, and homeowner associations; and consulting services. The firm is known for providing technical expertise of a large accounting firm with the personal attention of a small firm. David holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Forensics (CFF), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He serves as a volunteer peer reviewer and was previously Chair of the Kentucky Peer Review Committee.
